Personnel
assigned to this section perform highly stressful functions within
the police department. Tele-communications Officers are responsible
for telephone communications including receiving and initiating
response to all emergency calls and calls for police department
service or information, radio communications including the dispatch
of police department patrol and investigative personnel , teletype
and automated data communications.

Personnel
working in the records section provide assistance to officers in
the department and the public.
Records personnel are responsible for receiving, reviewing, filing
and recalling copies of all reports prepared by members of the department
and maintaining the departments budget, which consists of all purchasing,
training, education, and maintenance costs.

The Administrative
Sergeant is responsible for coordination and/or conducting all in
service training that includes a monthly video and computer based
training. This section is responsible for all mandatory retraining
required by agency policy or Florida State laws. This section assists
the Chief of Police in conducting professional standards
investigations.
